I made this during (and long after) a workshop with Christina Cameli, a very kind and inspiring person. I particularly like the scrappy border on this one.
Squid! Nov 2024
A custom toy for a baby who is into textures and a mama who is into squids.
I love making toys. It takes a lot of problem solving to figure out the shapes I want, and I love the thrill of making something unique. This particular gem has tentacles made out of a variety of fabrics (flannel, silk, sticky couch material, etc.) so the little recipient can know what they all taste like!

Based on a quilt by my dear mother-in-law. Loved playing with the textures in this one-- peeled knitting and carhartts and some random thread.

A wedding art quilt for some SF friends.
Did some work with a lightbox and washable marker to copy these from a map I found on the internet. This is the place where my friends were married. I did some very nice work with lettering their names too, but to protect their privacy it is not shown.
